Become a Peer Reviewer for Our Journals

Pharmacy Practice in Focus: Oncology is a bimonthly (with 2 additional conference-focused issues in January and July) partially peer-reviewed journal that contains both articles and peer-reviewed papers focused on the field of oncology pharmacy practice, with coverage of relevant news, research, conferences, and discussions. Pharmacy Practice in Focus: Health Systems is a bimonthly partially peer-reviewed journal as well, but it focuses on the field of health-system pharmacy practice, and it also contains coverage of relevant news, research, conferences, and discussions outside of the peer reviewed papers contained in each issue.

Both journals are seeking pharmacy professionals who are interested in peer reviewing manuscripts. The role of the peer reviewer is one focused on evaluating the content of the paper, its value to the field, potential criticisms to the findings, and flaws in the discussion, as well as other areas of value to address to improve the quality of the paper and impact for the field. The peer reviewer does not need to focus on copyediting issues, as we have copyeditors who will address grammar and syntax if the paper is accepted for publication.

Upon receiving your request to participate as a peer reviewer, we understand that you may not always be available to act as a peer reviewer at any given time, and we will always reach out to you and confirm your availability before requesting your participation as a peer reviewer. We generally request a 2 to 4 week turnaround for peer reviewing a paper.
